228 Acres of Rowhouses Around VCU
The Fan District covers 228 acres between Harrison, Main, Grace and Mulberry streets and holds one of the longest intact stretches of Victorian-era homes in the country, most of them built after electric streetcars arrived in 1888.
VCU’s Monroe Park Campus sits right inside it. With 29,280 students and about 6,200 residence-hall beds, most upperclassmen rent Fan rowhouse apartments, and a lot of them move out in the same few weeks each May and late summer.

Where the rowhouse backs onto one, yes. Otherwise the crew works from the street as quickly as the block allows.

Can the landlord book after we’re gone?
Yes. Landlords often book once tenants leave, approve from photos and share the key or lockbox code.
