Planned Communities on the Reservoir
Brandermill opened in 1975 and Woodlake followed, both made possible by the Swift Creek Reservoir, built in 1965. Together they form Midlothian’s reservoir-side planned communities.
Houses from those first decades have had several generations of TVs pass through the family room, and the older ones often ended up in the basement or bonus room.
