The new mid-rise apartments come with the coordination that comes with any new building: management usually won't release the freight elevator without a Certificate of Insurance naming the property, and the elevator and loading dock get reserved on a window a few days out. We handle that end of it — file the COI, book the elevator and dock, and bring everything down ourselves so nothing lands in a shared lobby or hallway. The flat photo-quoted price already includes the dock wait, and there's no loft or high-rise surcharge: a fifth-floor unit prices the same as a ground-floor one.
The other half of the neighborhood is the part that made it: breweries, cideries, and makers in the surviving warehouses. Those generate a different haul — taproom furniture, retired tanks and racking, pallets, prep and packaging equipment, and back-of-house shelving — and we clear it the same flat-priced way, with the metal recycled and the electronics kept out of the landfill.

How this beats the free city pickup
The City's free Bulk & Brush program (DPW, 804-646-6430 or 3-1-1) is residential, curbside, and biweekly — great for a single-family house that can drag things to the curb and wait up to two weeks.
